Associate Director of Development – Remote
Travel up to 35%, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend visits for donors, events, and meetings.

In partnership with senior leadership, this role develops and executes fundraising strategies that align with organizational priorities and inspire meaningful support. To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in nonprofit management, communications, business, public health, or a related field, with 3–5 years of development experience and a verified track record of closing five- and six-figure gifts.
- Solid experience meeting or exceeding fundraising goals in a fast-paced nonprofit environment, with exposure to planned giving programs.
- Solid proficiency with donor management systems (Salesforce or similar CRMs), fundraising platforms, and data analysis/reporting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and build relationships across diverse audiences.
Your responsibilities as the Associate Director of Development will include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans, including annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving, while managing a dynamic donor portfolio.
- Manages a dynamic portfolio (150 maximum) of prospects/donors who have the capacity to make a philanthropic major and/or planned gift.
- Qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards gifts from donors through 100 visits annually, through a combination of in-person and virtual donor visits.
- Raises a minimum of $500,000 on an annual basis with the goals for subsequent years determined in conjunction with the Head of Development.
- Execute tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies based on individual donor interests, capacity, and philanthropic priorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, leadership, and board members to maximize fundraising effectiveness and build strategic partnerships.
- Track, analyze, and report on fundraising metrics, while coordinating donor engagement opportunities and events to grow the philanthropic pipeline.
