As the Human Resource Coordinator, you will aid with and facilitate the human resource processes by administering employee health and welfare plans with our co-employer. You will be expected to resolve benefits-related problems and ensure effective plan use and positive employee relations. You will ensure that federal and state regulators administer specific plans and that plan provisions are followed. You will also provide administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and weekly payroll processing.
To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or related roles, demonstrating knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, and familiarity with HRIS platforms. Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Pivot Tables, Macros, Formulas, Data Analysis) preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization. Experience handling confidential employee information with discretion.
- Solid time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
It would be great if you had:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Familiarity with HR data analytics and reporting.
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will:
- Supervise weekly timesheet completion, process benefits enrollments and terminations, reconcile benefits statements, and ensure accurate payroll record-keeping.
- Complete and verify I-9 documentation, assist with background checks, maintain employee files, and ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in recruitment by scheduling interviews, tracking candidate status, and coordinating performance review processes.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, handle HR-related documentation, and support initiatives focused on employee engagement and recognition.
- Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, recommend corrective actions, and provide administrative support for meetings, correspondence, and HR record maintenance.
