Description & Requirements
As an Accounts Payable Clerk with Liberty Bank and Trust, you will record the institution's various expenses by reviewing and verifying documentation about payments owed by the company, obtaining proper authorization, tracking accuracy, and ensuring timely turnaround. You will also compile and maintain accounts payable.
To thrive, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and accounting experience, ideally in a financial institution.
- Experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- Ability to solve practical problems, analyze accounts/vendors, and interpret instructions.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking to effectively interact with colleagues and customers.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), general office equipment, and relevant accounting or banking software.
Your responsibilities as the AP Clerk will include:
- Receive, review, and organize payment requests; ensure proper authorization and accuracy of invoices.
- Prepare AP checks, print reports, and manage files for audits and tracking.
- Code invoices, allocate expenses, and analyze/report discrepancies or exceptions to management.
- Assist with monthly closings, respond to inquiries, and support AP software administration and team training.
- Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
