Lead Engineer – Remote
As Lead Engineer for Network Environments, you will play a critical role in shaping the design, development, and implementation of electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure systems across multiple high-impact projects. This position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight - driving engineering excellence, fostering innovation, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
You’ll be responsible for developing and executing efficient, cost-effective systems that align with both current demands and future growth, ensuring our operations remain scalable, reliable, and forward-thinking.

To succeed as the Lead Engineer, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desired.
- 8+ years electrical engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards (NEC, IEC) and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with electrical design tools and software (AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, Revit).
- Background in LEAN and/or Six Sigma preferred.
- Exceptional problem solving, project management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of data center, manufacturing, modular infrastructure a plus.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Lead Engineer responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design and development of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Manage and coordinate electrical engineering efforts across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level electrical engineers.
- Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, integrators, and manufacturing team to define project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and system simulations.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of systems and products.
- Ensure documentation and reporting are accurate and up to date.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Conducts or acquires cost analysis for development projects; prepares or delegates preparation of schedule of project completion dates.
Lead all aspects of departmental people management, including recruiting, hiring, training, supervising daily workflow, conducting performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies.
