As an Appraiser Trainee, you will work directly with senior appraisers and managers throughout the training process to gain comprehensive knowledge in real estate appraisal, right-of-way valuation, and eminent domain litigation support. You will assist in conducting appraisals for various property types, learning to evaluate and document property values accurately and professionally. You will be actively involved in obtaining state certification as a General Real Estate Appraiser, which will qualify you to appraise all types of real estate, including commercial properties. Through hands-on experience and guidance, you will develop the skills necessary to advance in the appraisal profession.
An ideal Appraiser Trainee, you should have:
- Be a college graduate with four year degree
- Appraiser Trainee License preferred
- 1-3 years commercial real estate appraisal experience
- Desire to become MAI designated
Your responsibilities as the Appraiser Trainee will include:
- Research and analyze market data to support property valuations and consulting assignments
- Assist in compiling appraisal reports and preparing litigation materials
- Participate in inspecting properties and gathering market data
- Support various real estate valuation and appraisal activities under senior guidance
