Sales and Business Support Representative – Supply Chain

Our client is a leading sales company that focuses primarily on Costco Wholesale. For about 20 years, they have represented leading food brands and manufacturers. Their San Diego office offers a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere full of hard-working individuals. They work with vendors and manufacturers of food products to help sell their items to club-level retail stores.
Our client seeks a team member who aligns with their culture and values to fill the Sales and Business Support Representative role. As the Sales and Business Support, your overall goal will be to help vendors grow their businesses and support the sales team and internal staff. This position requires a motivated individual with high autonomy, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. You must have the ability to recognize opportunities and add value every step of the way. Your additional duties will include tracking and entering purchase orders in the database, coordinating and communicating supply chain challenges with food manufacturers and customers, making sales forecasts and tracking national merchandise budgets and promotions, and working with the vendor logistics team to ensure products are delivered on time and in full to the customer, direct communication with vendors, Costco, and outside sales teams to help facilitate sales delivery of new items to Costco, running sales reports, use of Access, Excel, and other Microsoft software.
If you have experience working with Costco as a supplier or in another role, you could be a good fit for this position. Tangible experience would include going through vendor setup processes at Costco, EFA registration, logistics/production coordinating on the supply side, sales support, buyer support, and work on buy docs, VCF, and accrual post-audit reconciliation and accrual management.
To Succeed, You Should Have:
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills (college-level).
- Typing speed of 50+ words per minute and 10-key proficiency.
- Business-level proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel, Access).
- Understanding intermediate-level math concepts applied to business models (algebra, statistics).
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks with immediate deadlines.
- Independent, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous Customer Service experience.
- Commitment to learning about Costco’s Business.
- Accurate data entry skills and a commitment to quality.
- Positive and motivated attitude with a dedication to continuous learning and improvement.
