Parts Finisher - Metalworking
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision metalworking, this is your chance to become an important part of our client’s team as a Parts Finishing - Metalworking Specialist!
Do you have a sharp eye for detail and take pride in turning good parts into great ones? At B&M Machine Co., Inc., we’re looking for a Metalworking Parts Finisher who enjoys hands-on work and understands that quality matters. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of parts finishing operations in our machine shop, including manual sanding, polishing, deburring, and operating vibratory finishing equipment to ensure every part meets our high standards before it goes out the door. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., ideal for someone with strong hand skills who is comfortable performing repetitive tasks independently while also contributing to the team.

To thrive, you should have:
- Prior experience in parts finishing, manufacturing, or a technical production environment.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity with sanding, polishing, deburring, and the ability to identify acceptable surface finishes and visual defects.
- Working knowledge of finishing equipment, including sanding belts, hand pressure techniques, vibratory finishing machines, and basic equipment upkeep.
- Consistent adherence to safety practices, including proper PPE use (such as N95 masks), safe lifting up to 50lbs, and respect for company policies and property.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete production paperwork, accept corrective feedback, and prevent repeat errors with minimal supervision.
- Reliable attendance, professional conduct with coworkers and supervisors, and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a repetitive, high-volume setting.
Your responsibilities as the Parts Finisher will include:
- Perform sanding, polishing, deburring, and other finishing operations on metal parts.
- Operate vibratory finishing machines in addition to manual sanding equipment; ensure proper setup, monitoring, and shutdown procedures are followed.
- Conduct first article and in-process inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Identify and correct quality issues proactively.
