What You’ll Do As The Account Manager:
You will ensure our products are positioned, accepted, and sold through OEM customers while achieving sales goals and maintaining strong OEM and Supplier relationships. You will deliver exceptional customer service to supplier partners across various departments, including manufacturing, marketing, engineering, quality control, and executive management. You will meticulously manage all aspects of the business for assigned accounts. Additionally, you will collaborate with B/T Western’s Executives to develop strategic growth opportunities that align supplier offerings with OEM customer needs, driving increased purchases.
You Should Have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience selling to car companies (OEMs) is required. Sales experience with Subaru is preferred, and BMW, JLR, or Volvo is desirable.
- Experience with engineered products for automotive applications; ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales approaches.
- A good understanding of product development and manufacturing processes is desired.
- Valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle; ability to work under time and budget constraints.
- Ability to work a remote work schedule with occasional travel to customers, events, and social gatherings by air or automobile.
As The Account Manager, You Will Be Responsible For:
- Sales Strategy & Relationship Management: Develop and execute selling strategies for each supplier, ensuring sales targets are met while building strong relationships with all customer stakeholders.
- Customer & Supplier Expertise: Become the primary expert on customer processes (RFQ, purchasing, engineering, etc.) and supplier products, methods, and market positioning to facilitate seamless communication and support.
- Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Lead annual forecasting, target marketing, and monthly supplier reviews to drive business growth and align supplier offerings with customer needs.
- Problem-Solving & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for both customers and suppliers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless operations.
- BT Western Best Practices & Administration: Maintain LAMP and other strategic processes, ensuring clear communication, timely reporting, and adherence to all administrative requirements.
