Quality Control Manager - Banking

As the Quality Control Manager, you will oversee daily QC operations and ensure mortgage files meet FHA, FHLMC, FNMA, USDA, and VA guidelines. You will also conduct audits, resolve loan defects, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure full compliance with investor, state, and federal regulations.

To thrive as the Banking QC Manager, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- 3+ years of quality control experience in mortgage lending (FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations and investor/insurer guidelines
- Proficiency in Encompass LOS and TENA auditing software
Your responsibilities as the QC Manager - Banking will include:
- Identify loan samples for discretionary and random audits.
- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with vendors to resolve issues, pinpoint areas of weakness or high risk, and identify the underlying causes of deficiencies.
- Create and implement action plans to address defects and mitigate risks.
- Re-underwrite loan files based on AUS findings or manual loan approvals.
- Assess appraisal reports for value acceptance, content, and accuracy.
- Verify that re-verification activities were completed and confirm the accuracy of the information used by the client to approve and close the loan.
- Ensure consistency between Pre-Close and Post-Close results and report any discrepancies.
