To succeed as a Senior HR Business Partner, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior business partner or equivalent role, with experience in private equity-backed, start-up, or oil and gas environments.
- Solid expertise in organizational design, change management, talent strategy, and aligning HR initiatives to business outcomes.
- Solid knowledge of Texas and federal labor laws, safety regulations, HR compliance, and union/non-union workforce environments.
- Solid interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, with proficiency in SAP, Workday, or equivalent HRIS systems and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will:
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, driving organizational design, workforce planning, and talent initiatives.
- Lead talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and leadership development programs for high-demand technical and leadership roles.
- Coach and advise leaders on performance management, employee relations, compliance, and change management to enhance team effectiveness and culture.
- Implement scalable HR processes and programs that support growth, operational efficiency, and high-performance culture while ensuring compliance.
- Analyze workforce data, monitor talent metrics, and collaborate with HR and external partners to address gaps, optimize talent pipelines, and inform strategic decisions.
About Us:
PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude oil, producing high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities, allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products.
