In this role, you will be a valuable part of our client’s sales team and provide the highest quality service level through an in-depth knowledge of assigned customer accounts and SSSI products, as well as participating in the marketing of products and services that will drive sales to the website and other media platforms. A deep understanding of the technical features, benefits, and applications of products and services sold is crucial, including articulating complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. You must also be able to analyze a customer's production process, layout, inventory, and budget and propose a customized solution to optimize their workflow.
To thrive, you should have:
- 3+ years in sales, marketing, or a related field (B2B heavy equipment, machinery, or metals manufacturing sales preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Solid business communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience analyzing sales data, tracking key metrics, and generating reports; knowledge of data collection methods (polls, surveys, focus groups).
- CRM and ERP systems; Microsoft Office Suite; statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS); Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere).
- Experience with website UI/UX principles and SEO/SEM campaigns.
Your responsibilities as the Inside Sales and Marketing Representative will include:
- Sales & Customer Engagement – Serve as the customer's primary contact, managing inquiries, quotes, and issue resolution while maintaining strong relationships to drive sales growth.
- Product & Technical Support – Recommend products based on customer needs, provide technical guidance and assist with troubleshooting and cross-selling opportunities.
- Sales Operations & Reporting – Use ERP systems to issue quotes, track sales activities, and report performance metrics while ensuring efficient workflow.
- Marketing & Brand Development – Plan and execute marketing campaigns, create promotional materials, manage social media presence, and coordinate trade show participation.
- Website & Digital Strategy – Oversee website development, update content, optimize for SEO/SEM, and analyze digital performance for continuous improvement.
