As the Medical Director, you should have:
- M.D. or D.O. with completed U.S. psychiatry residency and active board certification in psychiatry; additional subspecialty certifications (e.g., Addiction Psychiatry) preferred.
- Current Colorado medical license or eligibility to obtain within 90 days; must complete Plus by APN service certifications within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum 5 years of post-residency psychiatric care, including 3+ years in leadership; experience across detox, residential, and outpatient settings required.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, psychiatric documentation, interventional modalities (e.g., KAT, TMS), and insurance compliance; strong leadership, communication, and cultural competence.
- Occasional travel to Denver and Boulder facilities required.
Your responsibilities as the Medical Director will include:
- Provide Clinical Leadership: Oversee psychiatric and medical services, ensuring delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across all treatment levels under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer.
- Deliver Direct Patient Care: Maintain a reduced caseload while providing psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and care for complex patient populations.
- Supervise and Support Staff: Manage and mentor physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing leadership; foster a collaborative, compliant clinical environment.
- Develop Policies and Programs: Collaborate on clinical policy creation, treatment protocols, and integration of advanced modalities and emerging therapies.
- Ensure Quality and Compliance: Lead quality assurance initiatives, ensure regulatory adherence, conduct provider audits, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage Administrative Operations: Coordinate on-call scheduling, support budget/resource planning, serve as Physician of Record, and maintain insurance compliance.
