Assistant Vice President / Deposit Compliance Specialist
As the Assistant Vice President/Deposit Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for all deposit regulations pertinent to Liberty Bank's Compliance Management systems. You will also work with the Compliance Officer on all bank examinations and internal and external audits.
To thrive as the Assistant Vice President/Deposit Compliance Specialist, you should have:
- Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal, technical, and financial documents, including responding to customer or agency inquiries.
- Proficient in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and interpreting complex technical instructions to draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Completion of annual Deposit Compliance training or equivalent certification in compliance with banking regulations.
Your responsibilities as the Assistant Vice President/Deposit Compliance Specialist will include:
- Implement, manage, and serve as a subject matter expert for deposit and privacy regulations, including Reg CC, Reg E, Truth in Savings, and other relevant laws like Gramm-Leach-Bliley and COPPA.
- Continuously track and interpret updates from regulatory bodies (FDIC, CFPB, FinCEN, Federal Reserve) to ensure compliance and inform bank practices.
- Develop and maintain risk-based procedures for customer due diligence and monitor compliance with deposit products and services, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
- Conduct audits and reviews of deposit products, fee schedules, and disclosures to assess compliance with consumer protection laws and bank policies.
- Provide training on deposit compliance platforms (e.g., Wolters Kluwer) and collaborate with branch managers and stakeholders through meetings to address compliance matters.
