As a Plant Manager, you will oversee the production and distribution of the plant, ensuring efficient operations align with company policies and procedures. You will coordinate production, distribution, warehousing, and cost accounting while supervising all plant processes to maintain operational efficiency. Additionally, your role will require adapting to the specific needs of the plant, ensuring seamless operations, and meeting consumer demands promptly.
To thrive, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or related field preferred; minimum 5 years in manufacturing, including leadership roles such as Production or Plant Manager; expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement; familiarity with ISO, SQF, AIB, or HACCP preferred.
- Comprehensive problem-solving, fiscal management, strategic execution, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of industry standards, such as ISO, SQF, and HACCP, is advantageous.
- English is required; Spanish and/or French (Creole) is beneficial.
- Solid interpersonal, supervisory, and team leadership skills with the ability to influence across teams and drive company culture.
Your responsibilities as the Plant Manager will include:
- Oversee Plant Operations: Direct and coordinate production, quality assurance, and facility maintenance according to company policies and procedures.
- Financial & Resource Management: Estimate financial needs, oversee repairs, and ensure equipment is well-maintained to optimize efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Development: Train, develop, and motivate plant personnel while conducting performance reviews and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Production Planning & Coordination: Establish production schedules, manage raw material purchasing, and ensure timely shipping of finished products.
- Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Inspect facility for improvements, implement process enhancements, and maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
