As a Network/Systems Administrator, you will plan, design, and coordinate the installation and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure stable IT operations. You will maintain, optimize, and support network equipment, hardware, software, and communication links. You will be responsible for the stability of servers, workstations, voice, data, video, and wireless networks, as well as managing LANs and WANs. You will troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze traffic, and provide capacity planning solutions. Additionally, you will resolve WLAN issues, offer end-user training, and oversee the infrastructure, including workstations, servers, applications, and integrated cloud services.
To succeed as the Network/Systems Administrator, you should have:
- High School diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of work experience as a Systems or Network Administrator or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with 2 years of work experience as a Systems or Network Administrator.
- Industry standard certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are a strong plus.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure and systems.
- Solid understanding of IT hardware, software, and communication link configurations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with team members to assess and plan for network/systems capacity, ensuring alignment with future requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Oversee network hardware, software, and equipment upgrades, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and server infrastructure.
- Manage day-to-day network operations, including troubleshooting, documentation, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards and conduct audits, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
