To succeed, you should have:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in project quoting, estimating, or technical support within lighting, electrical, construction, or a related technical environment, with solid ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and lighting plans.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills to produce accurate estimates, wiring diagrams, and documentation under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid communication skills to collaborate effectively with manufacturer representatives, installers, and internal sales teams, including technical guidance and project clarification.
- Preferred experience with drafting software such as Corel Draw, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD 2D & 3D, background in LED or low-voltage lighting systems, and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, design, or construction-related field.
Your responsibilities as the Quotations Specialist will include:
- Prepare precise material takeoffs, cost estimates, and project pricing for lighting systems while ensuring accuracy, margin awareness, and alignment with approved products.
- Review architectural plans and lighting layouts to identify project scope, constraints, risks, and potential installation challenges.
- Create and maintain installer-ready technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and documentation using Corel Draw, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD to support error-free project execution.
- Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and internal sales teams to provide technical guidance, clarify specifications, and ensure alignment on project timelines and customer expectations.
- Track and update project quotes, manage revisions, and implement continuous improvement practices to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance project consistency.
