Our client seeks an HR Specialist in La Porte, TX, to continue growing their group. You will be critical in managing and improving our HR processes, ensuring a seamless and engaging employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. As the HR Specialist, you will focus on employee engagement, retention strategies, HR operations, sourcing, and vendor management for staffing agencies, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting and data management, and supporting our overall human resources initiatives.
To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of HR experience with solid HR practices and regulations knowledge.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and work independently with minimal supervision.
It would be great if you had:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Familiarity with HR data analytics and reporting.
- Experience in sourcing and managing staffing agency vendors.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting standards and best practices.
As the Human Resources Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate and manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee engagement strategies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, assist with benefits administration, and support payroll processing.
- Guide HR policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in developing and delivering employee training programs.
- Analyze HR data and provide insights for improving HR practices.
