To succeed, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or related nonprofit work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for donor correspondence and presentations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in donor management systems, preferably DonorPerfect or similar systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and online fundraising tools.
Your responsibilities as the Manager of Development & Fundraising will include:
- Assist in developing and executing annual fundraising plans, including donor outreach, events, and campaigns.
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate recordkeeping for contributions and stewardship activities.
- Coordinate logistics for the overall agency’s fundraising calendar and key donor meetings.
- Prepare reports on fundraising progress and donor engagement for leadership review.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and prospects.
- Supervise Event Coordinator, helping ensure smooth and successful execution of all fundraising events.
- Oversee marketing and communications generated with the assistance of the Event Coordinator to create donor-focused content and materials.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
- Support grant research and proposal development in collaboration with the Executive Director, the Board, and the grants committee.
