Patient Engagement Manager – Remote

Our client, a national nonprofit in the healthcare and rare disease space, is seeking a dynamic Patient Engagement Manager to lead and optimize key patient-facing programs nationwide. In this role, you will serve as a program manager and operational lead, overseeing support group operations, volunteer engagement systems, regional community leadership initiatives, and large-scale community events. You will manage program planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and measurable impact. To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree required (public health, social sciences, business administration, nonprofit management, or related field preferred), with demonstrated experience in program management, healthcare operations, nonprofit administration, or community engagement initiatives within mission-driven organizations.
- Solid experience managing cross-functional projects, timelines, vendors, and stakeholders, with solid proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM systems, data tracking, reporting, and performance metrics to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Excellent ability to professionally engage patients, volunteers, partners, and internal teams; willingness and ability to travel as needed for Community Days, conferences, and national engagement initiatives.
Your responsibilities as the Patient Engagement Manager will include:
- Lead end-to-end program management and event operations for national Community Days, including logistics coordination, vendor management, contracts, speaker agreements, budget tracking, and post-event reporting.
- Oversee volunteer program operations, including onboarding workflows, engagement tracking, retention strategies, and Regional Community Leader infrastructure to support scalable community outreach.
- Manage patient support group operations, including facilitator coordination, scheduling, attendance tracking, documentation, and continuous quality improvement.
- Serve as the primary administrator of Salesforce CRM, maintaining accurate program data, building dashboards, generating performance reports, and supporting grant and development reporting needs.
- Drive operational excellence and process improvement by developing SOPs, refining workflows, mitigating program risks, and using data analytics to enhance patient engagement and nonprofit program outcomes.
