Accounts Payable Specialist
$22.00-$24.00 per hour DOE
Liberty Bank and Trust is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the bank’s financial transactions by reviewing, verifying, and recording expenses for goods and services received. You will be responsible for maintaining thorough accounts payable records, tracking authorizations, and supporting smooth financial operations across the organization, thereby directly impacting the efficiency and integrity of our processes.

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will succeed if you have :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution, with familiarity in financial and banking processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and applicable banking software, with the ability to produce reports, perform calculations, and manage data accurately.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting instructions, reviewing accounts and vendor information, and applying mathematical and reasoning skills to resolve issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with supervisors, colleagues, and customers, interpret documents, and convey information clearly in a professional setting.
Your responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Specialist will include:
- Receive, review, and organize internal and external payment requests, ensuring proper authorization and accurate coding of invoices and expenses.
- Facilitate the payment disbursement process, including preparing accounts payable checks and maintaining accounts payable files and reports.
- Analyze and report expense exceptions, assist with account analyses, monthly closings, and special projects as needed.
- Administer accounts payable software, including system maintenance, interfacing with other platforms, and training department team members.
