Infection Prevention Quality Access Center Nurse (RN)

As an RN, you will evaluate the quality of patient care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections by collecting, analyzing, presenting infection data, and recommending actions. You will monitor employee compliance with infection prevention measures, provide educational offerings to staff, and serve as a resource for all departments.
Infection Prevention Quality Access Center Nurse Qualifications/Skills:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Experience in Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Fire and Safety Programs.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse License, current certification in Basic Life Support, and current ACLS certification.
Infection Prevention Quality Access Center Nurse (RN) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Investigate Healthcare-Associated Infections: Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections, investigate outbreaks, and implement control measures.
- Develop and Revise Infection Prevention Policies: Initiate, review, and update policies to comply with regulatory guidelines (OSHA, CDC, CMS, etc.).
- Provide Education and Training: Offer infection prevention education for staff during orientation and through ongoing in-service programs.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality Assurance: Monitor infection prevention practices and participate in quality assurance activities, including EOC rounds and compliance with safety standards.
- Report and Consult: Report communicable diseases as required by law and consult with management and physicians to improve infection control practices.
