To thrive as the Finance Controller, you should have:        

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 7–15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller roles in high-growth, private companies.
• Advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online, including optimization for multi-entity, multi–revenue-stream, or project-based environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting practices, and financial management principles such as cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Proven capability to perform complex reconciliations, prepare detailed financial reports, and translate financial data into strategic insights.

Your responsibilities as the Finance Controller will include:        

• Lead all accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and the monthly close process in compliance with GAAP.
• Serve as the internal expert on QuickBooks Online, overseeing AR/AP, payroll allocations, expense categorization, and scalable accounting workflows.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including variance and trend analysis, to support leadership decision-making.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, documentation, and compliance, supporting audits, tax, and external reporting needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and business leaders to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition.
• Willing to travel to Tennessee approximately once a quarter
