Human Resources Analyst
Part-Time, Hybrid – Richmond, VA

As a Human Resources Analyst, you will support Dynex Capital’s people strategy by delivering high-impact HR analytics, workforce insights, payroll coordination, and employee experience reporting that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will play a key role in transforming HR data into actionable intelligence, strengthening survey design and insights, and supporting the evolving capabilities of HR business partners within a high-performing financial services environment.

To thrive as an HR Analyst, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field required; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience with a solid focus on HR analytics, people analytics, workforce reporting, and HR operations within financial services, REIT, or professional services environments
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling) with experience in HRIS platforms and BI/data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and payroll/PEO coordination
- Strong analytical mindset with close attention to detail, data integrity focus, strong communication skills, and ability to translate complex HR data into executive-ready insights; experience with employee engagement survey design and analysis preferred
Your responsibilities as the Human Resources Analyst will include:
- Develop and maintain HR analytics dashboards, workforce metrics, and executive HR reporting (headcount, turnover, compensation benchmarking, DEI analytics, hiring trends, workforce planning, HR data visualization) using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
- Design, administer, and analyze employee engagement surveys, pulse surveys, and lifecycle surveys; translate results into actionable HR insights, leadership presentations, and workforce strategy recommendations
- Support payroll operations coordination with third-party providers/PEOs, ensuring HRIS data integrity, payroll accuracy, compliance reporting, audits, and issue resolution
- Deliver ad hoc workforce analytics and HR reporting to support strategic decision-making, organizational effectiveness, and financial services talent management initiatives
- Partner with HR leadership on EOS-driven execution, HR business partnering development, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience
