As the Senior Reconstruction Project Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and completing reconstruction projects (including but not limited to new builds, offsets, remodels, and reimages) by partnering with external professionals and contractors for company-operated projects; mentoring, supporting, and guiding reconstruction technicians with the construction process; and, ensuring compliance with departmental key controls and company standards The individual must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends.
To thrive/succeed as the Senior Reconstruction Project Manager you should have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- BA/BS desired or minimum (4) years in construction or restoration/remediation work and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have valid CA driver's license and automobile insurance coverage at the level required by law.
- Apprenticeship Programs, Trade School, or verifiable relevant experience highly preferred.
- Active IICRC certifications, OSHA certified is a plus.
- Travel will be required within San Diego County.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Your responsibilities as the Senior Reconstruction Project Manager will include:
- Ensures quality control & safety enforcement meets company and client expectations.
- Work closely with the reconstruction team to complete tasks & projects.
- Manage workflow for job progress per the scope of work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage budgets for labor and materials, identify overages or savings throughout the project duration of the project and communicate incongruencies with your team to quickly solve potential issues.
- Manage project material orders, adhere to the material orders schedule, make ,and be resourceful if material supply issues or delays arise.
- Call in site service pickups in a timely manner throughout the project and closely monitor equipment rental timelines.
- Manage the current sub-contractor base and look for qualified sub-contractor talent.
- Conduct site safety meetings, establish safety protocols and manage safety protocols for each job to always ensure sub-contractor compliance.
- Communicate intentionally with clients, create a relationship of trust, and send weekly updates for job progress.
- Manage quality control throughout the progress and meet inspectors on site for progress inspections and final inspections.
- Identify and track potential project delays and manage the client’s expectations.
- Collaborate with the team to solve issues that arise.
- Provide billing updates related to job progress.
- Upload photos and document job progress updates on a weekly basis using company issued software.
- Attend weekly meetings with the team to provide billing updates, order projections, client satisfaction and job workflow.
- Perform progress walkthroughs throughout the projects with sub-contractors and clients, identify issues, create solutions.
- Complete final walkthrough with client and conduct closeout audit.
