What you need to thrive:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred (or actively pursuing).
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in leadership, with deep expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite preferred), Excel, and financial analysis tools.
- Proven ability to deliver strong analytical, problem‑solving, and financial management outcomes.
- Experience in ESOP organizations and/or construction, building materials, or related industries preferred.
Your responsibilities as the Director of Accounting will include:
- Oversee all core accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, month-end close, and GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, variance analysis, and delivery of strategic insights to executive leadership.
- Manage audits, tax compliance, banking relationships, financial controls, and risk‑mitigation processes to ensure organizational financial integrity.
- Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team to support high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools (NetSuite preferred) to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and operational visibility.
