As the EHS Coordinator, you will oversee the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. You will manage environmental standards, promote employee safety, and ensure all operations meet regulatory requirements. You will also take ownership of the document control process, maintaining accurate procedures and training records supporting our Quality Management System. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be critical in fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply compliance standards.
- Solid organizational and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are highly preferred.
Your responsibilities as the EHS Coordinator will include:
- Ensure facility operations meet all federal, state, and local environmental regulations; maintain permits and lead inspections; and manage hazardous waste protocols.
- Develop and implement safety programs, deliver required employee training, manage safety records, and ensure proper use of protective equipment.
- Lead the development and execution of the Emergency Response Plan for hazardous material spills or releases.
- Prepare and maintain Quality Management System procedures and training records; assist in audits to ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on EHS laws and regulations through training; generate reports and ensure accurate document retention for compliance.
