Tax Manager
Remote (California residents only)
Our client, a forward-thinking accounting and tax advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support its continued growth. In this fully remote role, the Tax Manager will be a licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent who thrives in a leadership capacity, enjoys client-facing work, and wants to make a meaningful impact beyond compliance. You will lead tax engagements end to end, providing strategic guidance to clients and mentoring junior team members. This role blends hands-on tax leadership with collaboration, innovation, and a strong commitment to client success.

Required Qualifications:
- Active CPA or Enrolled Agent license.
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience, including management and review of complex returns across multiple entity types.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and California tax law.
- High-level proficiency with business tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
- Multi-state experience preferred.
- Experience using QuickBooks and Intuit ProConnect.
Your responsibilities as the Tax Manager will include:
- Oversee and manage tax compliance and filings across multiple entity types, including individuals and businesses.
- Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Provide proactive tax planning, research complex tax issues, and deliver clear strategic guidance to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high-quality advisory service.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while staying current on tax law changes and contributing to firm growth.
