To thrive as the Manager of Human Resources, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent industry experience) with 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including demonstrated success managing full-spectrum HR operations in a manufacturing environment; prior experience in private equity–backed organizations, M&A integration, union labor relations, and PEO partnerships preferred.
- Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and labor regulations (including ERISA, EEO, FMLA, and collective bargaining agreements), with proven expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management systems, compensation and incentive programs, HRIS systems, and benefits administration; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred.
- Solid business acumen with advanced project management, strategic planning, and change management capabilities; strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to influence executive leadership and cross-functional teams; ability to travel as needed to support multi-site manufacturing operations in North America and collaborate with global stakeholders.
Your responsibilities as the Manager of Human Resources will include:
- Drive HR strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, partnering closely with executive leadership and plant operations to support organizational growth and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including ERISA, EEO, FMLA, and labor laws, while overseeing HRIS reporting and managing third-party vendors for payroll, 401(k), and employee benefits administration.
- Design, implement, and manage a formal performance management system, align compensation and incentive plans with operational and financial goals, administer incentive calculations and processing, and drive initiatives that strengthen employee performance and engagement.
- Support organizational transformation and labor relations by leading HR strategy related to facility transitions, managing compliance with the current union agreement and collective bargaining requirements, implementing employee training and development programs, and partnering with leaders to identify and develop high-potential talent.
