Senior Property Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join our growing team and serve as a trusted financial partner to senior leadership, supporting both day-to-day operations and high-level initiatives.

We require our employees to be at our West Los Angeles location 4 days a week. We foster a dynamic and inclusive environment where employees feel empowered to learn, collaborate, and contribute to our collective success.
To succeed, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent professional experience) with 5+ years of residential property accounting experience managing full-cycle accounting for multifamily portfolios.
- Advanced proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and Microsoft Word, with demonstrated ability to prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, reconciliations, and detailed supporting schedules.
- CPA or other accounting certification is a plus but not required; the role does not require travel and does not have language requirements.
Your responsibilities as Senior Property Accountant will include:
- Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of residential properties, including daily transactions, payables, bank reconciliations, and month-end close in Yardi.
- Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP, including accruals, resident ledger adjustments, rent roll reviews, and GPR postings.
- Analyze and prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal management, lenders, and institutional investors.
- Support year-end processes, including tax return preparation, audit requests, and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with the VP/CFO, assist Property Managers with accounting issues, and support team members with complex transactions and special projects.
