Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Member Success, this highly visible role serves as a frontline ambassador for college and university leaders, delivering a responsive, high-quality member experience that drives engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Ideal for a professional with experience in association management, nonprofit membership services, or higher-education customer engagement, this position provides concierge-level support, oversees the membership renewal lifecycle, analyzes member feedback and engagement metrics, and contributes data-driven insights that enhance member value and long-term organizational growth.

To succeed as the Membership Engagement Senior Coordinator, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in customer service, membership engagement, or association management within a nonprofit, professional association, or higher education environment; experience supporting member retention initiatives preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with association management systems (AMS), CRM platforms, or comparable member databases, with the ability to maintain data integrity, generate engagement reports, and support renewal tracking processes.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, coordinate projects, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, member-focused setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat, with comfort adopting new technology platforms to enhance operational efficiency and member experience; occasional travel for member programs or professional events preferred.
Your responsibilities as the Membership Engagement Senior Coordinator will include:
- Manage high-volume inbound member communications (webchat, phone, and shared inbox), ensuring timely issue resolution, accurate account updates, and exceptional customer service within a membership-based nonprofit environment.
- Administer the full membership renewal and dues cycle, coordinating cross-functionally to support member retention goals, revenue tracking, and engagement outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate end-to-end registration and logistics for professional development programs and peer networking events, maintaining accurate participant data and ensuring seamless program delivery.
- Maintain detailed member records within the association management system (AMS), track engagement history, and ensure data integrity to support reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making.
- Monitor online community platforms and member engagement metrics, preparing data-driven reports and recommendations to enhance member satisfaction, loyalty, and continuous process improvement.
